Christmas Fling

Pattern: Spring Fling by April Moreland
Yarn: the same Christmasy ILTY worsted weight
Hook: H

I am so happy with this square! It is large and in charge of my Christmas Afghan, forming the center square for the other 12″ squares.
To enlarge the square to about 24″, I did this:
Hdc – green
Sc – burgundy
Hdc – green
V stitches – 2rows – white
granny stitches -3 rows – multi
Dc-ch3-dc – white
Dc with some fpdc – 3 rows – burgundy

It will need another round of something when I put this ‘ghan together, but I’ll figure that out when I get there.

I love this square! You can’t tell on the picture, but there are treble stitches in several of the rounds and they are “puffed”. Creative & adorable. If you’re looking for a block for an exchange type thing, I highly recommend this one. The colors change combos are almost endless & it looks fantastic as a solid color block. too.

Added an additional round of hdc to bring it up to 12″.
